Shout out

Every once in a while I will do a shout out to someone, an organization, or something who might not make the headlines at any of the major sailing websites but every athlete, person, and organization deserves their due recognition.

Today's shout out goes to:  Mark Leblanc of the US Sailing Team Alphagraphics.  Mark is a Paralympic Sailor campaigning for the 2012 games in London.  

Mark is currently in Newport,RI for the Clagett Regatta. The first day of racing was today. Follow along here. 


I had the pleasure of meeting Mark some time ago at the Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans where he was letting people test out his boat in the harbor.....it's not at easy as it looks. I encourage all of your from the local club guy who does the Friday night just for fun stuff to the international campaigner to give the guy a bit of your time and see what he is up to.
